Composite Dry Sliding Shaft Sleeve

The composite dry sliding shaft sleeve is a dry sliding (Journal) sliding bearing configured for bearing radial load, which only needs a small radial space. Such bushings allow reciprocating or rotary motion. Suitable for maintenance-free applications or where there may be an insufficient lubricant.

 

There are two standard designs of composite shaft sleeves

the difference lies in the composition of the sliding layer: composite B / E shaft sleeve and composite m shaft sleeve.

Material B

It has a layer of copper-plated steel plate backing (bearing wall thickness is less than 2mm (included), on which a 0,2 to 0,4mm thick tin bronze porous layer is sintered. The backing of the bearing with a thick bearing wall is not copper plated. Through the pressing process, the mixture composed of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and other additives that can reduce friction is filled into the pores on the sintered layer. This layer of sintered copper is covered with a running-in layer 5 to 30 mm thick made of the same mixture. The bearing made of B / e material realizes a good combination of the mechanical properties of sintered copper and the excellent sliding and lubrication properties of the PTFE mixture. This combination ensures good dimensional stability and thermal conductivity.

M material

It also has steel plate backing (bearings with wall thickness less than 2mm (included) are copper plated) and sintered tin bronze layer with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.4mm. The main feature of this kind of bearing is that its acetal resin (polyoxymethylene) coating is relatively thick (0.3mm) and firmly fixed on the sintered copper layer. The covering layer has roller grooves for lubricating grease. Due to the thick covering layer, the bearing is not easy to be affected even if there is some degree of misalignment and edge eccentric load related to misalignment.
