Conditions And Environmental Requirements For The Use Of Flat Thrust Bearings

The premise of selecting suitable bearings is to correctly grasp the service parts, service conditions and environmental conditions of plane thrust fag bearings in mechanical devices. For example, 51112 of fag and 52115, 53105 and 54207u of NSK.

The following should be obtained:

1. Function and structure of the mechanical device

2. Application position of INA Bearing

3. Bearing load (size, direction)

4. Rotation speed

5. Vibration and impact

6. Bearing temperature (ambient temperature, temperature rise)

7. Ambient atmosphere (corrosivity, cleanliness, lubricity)

Conditions And Environmental Requirements For The Use Of Flat Thrust Bearings
Selection of bearing configuration mode:

Generally, the shaft is supported by two NSK Bearings in the radial and axial directions. At this time, the bearing on one side is called the fixed side bearing, which bears both radial and axial loads and plays the role of fixing the relative axial displacement between the shaft and the bearing housing.

The other side is called the free side, which only bears the radial load and can move relatively in the axial direction, so as to solve the problem of the telescopic part of the shaft and the spacing error of the installed bearing caused by the temperature change.

For fixed side NTN bearing, it is necessary to select the bearing with available rolling surface moving axially (such as cylindrical roller bearing) or with assembly surface moving (such as centripetal ball bearing). On a relatively short shaft, if there is no difference between the fixed side and the free side, use a bearing (such as plane thrust bearing) that only fixes the axial movement in one direction.
